Need help with a truss or structural building component? Contact A-1 before cutting, modifying, repairing, installing a damaged component, or covering a truss. For the fastest response, submit a marked Truss Design Drawing (TDD), the truss and project identification, supporting photos, dimensions, any relevant jobsite conditions, and email to .

• Please include the Truss ID, Project ID, Lot or Building #, and any other pertinent information to ensure we are repairing the correct truss.
• Pictures of the damage or areas of concern should be included where possible, as this will assist the repair department to better understand the issue, as well as understand the current job status and field conditions.
  • NOTE: Pictures by themselves typically do not provide enough information. The Truss Design Drawing (TDD) must be included with field pictures in your submission.
• Do not cut, modify, or repair any truss without direction from A-1 Industries.
• Notify A-1 of any special circumstances that should be considered. (i.e. sheathing applied, trades have been installed, etc.) Please make sure to note any special circumstances on the Truss Design Drawing (TDD) and provide dimensions of damage and/or obstructions where applicable.
• Field-built trusses are considered conventional framing and fall under the responsibility of the Engineer of Record (EOR). A-1 cannot provide sealed drawings for “field built” trusses.
